Travel safely

Spending limits, a cooling-off leave, self-exclusion and independent groups that listen whenever you need to talk.

18+

Issuing state in brief: MAIREKE LIMITADA (Costa Rica) operates Lucky Boom under an Anjouan Offshore Financial Authority licence; the terms follow Anjouan law. It is an offshore document rather than a national one, so check that online gambling is legal in your country before you travel.

Our commitment

Each Lucky Boom page carries an 18+ marker and a begambleaware.org link. Travel with money you can afford to lose and never try to win back what you've lost.

Tools available to you

• Self-exclusion is requested by email from your registered address; the exit ban is in force within 24 hours and lasts six months at the least.
• Cooling-off leave: a seven-day break on request.
• Session awareness: keep track of your playing time and transaction history, and rest regularly.
• Parental control: guidance for keeping devices and passports out of minors' hands.

Know the signs

Consider turning back, or asking for help, if you:

• travel longer or spend more than you planned;
• borrow, or skip other obligations, to keep travelling;
• feel restless or irritable when you try to stay home;
• hide your journeys from the people close to you.

Keeping control

• Agree a budget and a time limit before you set off.
• Regard it as paid entertainment, never as a salary.
• Don't travel when you're upset, tired or have been drinking.
• Rest regularly and look over your transaction history.
